Kogi East APC picks Egbunu as Bello’s Deputy– Egbunu was nominated because he is trusted– Egbunu might replace Faleke
Gowon Usman Egbunu has been nominated by the campaign coordinators of the Kogi state governor-elect, Yahaya Bello in Kogi East as their preferred deputy governor.Egbunu, an Abuja-based publisher and politician’s nomination was contained in a-six-page letter addressed to the governor-elect and signed by Dr. Yakubu Ugwalawo, the leader and senatorial coordinator, The Nation reports.

According to the coordinators,Egbunu’s nomination was based on the fact that he is tested, trusted and dogged.
Others who signed the letter are Hassan Haruna, Yahaya Menyaga, Prince Isah Abdullahi, zonal coordinators and many others.Copies of the letter were sent to the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the national deputy chairman (north central), the national secretary, state chairman.
